HW Due Tues. 10/31; Other Due Dates Below

Due tomorrow: Complete reading and annotating the chapter, "The Ghost Soldiers" - focus your annotation on verisimilitude - a literary device in which the author blends the truth and fiction, or reality and fantasy.
We will be writing a claim/counterclaim argument essay in class Monday and Tuesday of next week. You will only be able to use your annotated book and an outline. Take good notes and make thorough annotations about VERISIMILITUDE.

Reminders:

  • You need your own copy of Night. See "required texts" list to purchase the correct version on Amazon.com. You must bring in your own copy next Wed., Nov. 8.
  • Vocabulary.com assignment: Contra and Counter due Friday, Nov. 3.
  • IRR Book #2 due Mon. 11/6. Book titles will be recorded. Pick a text that is of interest to you. You will use the Choice Board and choose a response that is different from the first one you completed. If you need a book, visit the library, a bookstore, or our classroom library.

Starting this week, you will have a vocabulary practice set due each Friday. These will count as homework. You must sign up to be able to do these assignments.
